The latest addition, Organic Vegetable Produc- tion, is intended for individu- als wanting to begin organic vegetable production on any scale, or to improve practices in an existing operation.

Basic Crop Inspection Training, Feb 24 - 28 2014, Nanaimo, BC. The Canadian Organic Growers (COG) and the International Organic Inspectors Association are co-sponsoring a Basic Crop Inspection Training in Na- naimo, BC from February 24 to 28 2014 following the COABC 2014 Conference.
This course is a comprehen- sive training on the Canadian Organic Standards with four days of instruction, which in- cludes a field trip to a certi- fied organic farm and a half- day for testing. Students will learn about the certification process, applicable organic standards, how to inspect organic farms, audit trail (re- cord keeping) requirements, approved materials, assess- ing soil fertility, regulatory re- quirements, risk assessment, investigative skills, inspection report writing, inspector eth
