W Recycle Bikes Says “Lets Fix it Together”
The days of DIY are over thinks Recycle Bikes - the new way is “do it together”. With that in mind Recycle have just opened up a community workshop over in Attercliffe where you can go and fix your bike in the company of experienced bike mechanics. “The emphasis of ‘The Bike Kitchen’ will be on the owner completing the repairs themselves” explained Project Mechanic Karlos Bingham. “There are plenty of bike shops where you can pay someone else to do the work – we’re offering the space and support to enable you to do it yourself”. Cytech-qualified mechanics will be on hand to offer advice, expertise and refreshments every Tuesday and Thursday between 4pm - 8pm, with an extra session on Saturdays from 1:30pm – 5:30pm.
The Bike Kitchen is open Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons, and costs £4 an hour. Visit recyclebikes.co.uk
to book a place online or give them a call on 0114 399 1100.
