Center for the Arts, Escondido Concert Hall on Sat., Dec. 7, with showtimes at 1 and 7 p.m. This production of "The Nutcracker" is presented by the Center and


West Coast Ballet Theatre, in association with San Elijo Dance & Music Academy and 4S Dance Academy. Two showtimes are offered: 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. The Dec. 7 show will feature guest stars Allyson Barkdull (California Bal-

and it promises to be a heartwarming and memorable event for the entire family. The Dec. 7 shows are perfect for young children because the ballet will


be performing a Nutcracker Suite, which is shorter than the full-length ver- sion. The show is performed in two acts, about 45 minutes each, with a 15- minute intermission. • An Irish Christmas presented by Kerry Records - Fri., Dec. 6 at 7:30 p.m. As seen on PBS! A great Irish night celebrating Christmas in Ireland with glorious music, traditional dance, storytelling, laughter and plenty of Irish soul. An annual favorite and sure to be a sell-out!


• The Center Chorale - A Choral Yuletide Sat., Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m. - The Center Chorale and the Center Children's Chorus will lead this seasonal celebration in song. The program includes the beautiful "A Ceremony of Carols" by Benjamin Britten and a reading of Dylan Thomas' "A Child's Christmas in Wales," with accompanying yuletide carols.


• Carols by Candlelight - Fri., Dec. 13 and Sat., Dec. 14 at 8 p.m. A spec- tacular family Christmas concert! The 24th Annual Carols by Candlelight features music stars singing their hits and favorite holiday songs. With Jose Feliciano on Friday and Billy Ray Cyrus on Saturday. Also featuring Stephen Bishop, Mary James and Steve Vaus. Presented by KUSI and 105.7 The Walrus.
