Join friends and family at 7:00 p.m. at the Sun Lakes United Methodist Church, 9248 E. Riggs Road, where a happy blend of holiday melodies and vocal harmonies await all. Once again, enjoy the shining presence of


director Cris Evans, the dramatic piano and organ accompaniments of Janice Manning, and the lively percussion, including the


magical sounds of the glockenspiel, of B.J. Van Noy. The evening’s program will include traditional favorites, exciting new arrangements, medleys and uniquely presented solos. Plan to arrive early at this well-attended event. Tickets are currently available for $10

Community Food Drive and Luminaria Walk, the Chorale (weather permitting) will be caroling on Sunday evening, December 15, beginning at 6:00 p.m. The Chorale will be entering at the food donation area located at Diamond and Starcrest, across from Desert Wind Drive

is the “Season of Love” with promise and happiness for all. “Season of love, season of hope,” it’s Christmas again.

As Pastor Don says, “We are all grateful for the commitment of every fi rst responder – every ambulance and fi re truck driver and every fi reman. Add to that the EMTs and doctors, nurses and hospitals that receive those who need the help.”


Hendricks further said, “Last year our church introduced Sirens Are a Call to Prayer – a reminder to pray for all these people whenever we hear


the sirens. Everyone in this community can at least do that – silently commit everyone involved to God and ask that He comfort and give strength to everyone affected.” The presentation of the Thanks 4-Giving award will take place at the Sunday morning service 9:30 a.m. at the Sun Lakes Chapel. The award will be presented to the Fire Chief, Mr. Paul Wilson, and award certifi cates will be personalized for each of the Fire Departments 50 employees. Special Christmas music under the direction of Bob Confare will be presented on Sunday, December 15, at 9:30 a.m.;.; will be presented on December 22, at 9:30a.m.; and brass instruments will be on December 24, at 4:30 p.m. with combined choirs from Sun Lakes Community Church and United Church of Christ.
