DAILY REMINDER FOR CLIENTS ‘Tis the

Season to be… Healthy! YOU can do it!

By Georgia Mattheos

YOU can stay healthy and on track with your healthy eating and regular workouts this holiday season. YOU are focused on your wellbeing and your health and fitness goals. YOU are surrounded by family and friends who support you (even if they sometimes don’t know how to communicate it)! This holiday season give yourself the gift of a healthy lifestyle. Stay committed and focused to living the optimal life you imagine for yourself. Give your family your best by being true to yourself.

If you are tempted to overindulge, remember these tips:

• Get your workout in earlier. If you’re an after-work exerciser, switch up your routine dur- ing the holiday season and get your exercise done in the morning or on your lunch break. Holiday get-togethers can take over your evenings and sabotage your best workout efforts.

• Eat your healthy meal before head- ing to the party! This will help minimize snacking on high-cal treats. Pick one favou- rite treat for the evening and enjoy it.

• For a low cal beverage at holiday get-togethers alternate sparkling or flat water with your cocktails or substitute sparkling water and a splash of juice. No one will know the difference and you’ll be just as jolly knowing you’re saving on the calories that come with alcoholic beverages!

• Know that any setback can be overcome. Stay focused without being too hard on yourself. Enjoy quality time with friends and family and trust that you will stick to your health and fitness goals. Remember what is really important to you during this season.
