“I encourage my

team of instructors to volunteer with me at

various organizations leading marathon

race warm-ups, cool- downs, and other community events.”

Q: What has been your greatest challenge and how did you overcome it?

A: The greatest challenge for me has been balancing my passion for fitness and helping others while making sure I have “me” time. Since I am always creating new ideas, projects and planning five years in advance, living in the present is hard for me. I have learned to create balance by scheduling “down time” and having a passion for something other than fitness; for me that is horses. I own a horse and spend my spare time trail riding. It is my way of “filling the tank”: relaxing and rejuvenating.

Q: What health and fitness advice do you have for other canfitpro members to enhance their lifestyles?

A: My advice would be to pay it forward. If someone helped you get started in the fitness industry “pay it forward” and help a new instructor or trainer by mentoring them. The rewards will outweigh the efforts. Always remember: if you can visualize it, you can make it happen!
