BODY HARMONICS B

ODY HARMONICS brings movement, health, and education together for a profound sense of wellbeing. We are three-in- one: pilates studios, health clinic, and teacher training. BODY HARMONICS was born in 1996 in Toronto, Canada. We

have grown way beyond what we imagined but our vision burns strong. We bring movement, health, and education together and teach people to build bodies for optimal function and integration. Day to day, in our studios and health clinic we get the privilege of

helping people discover the simplest of techniques to drive positive change in the body. In our teacher training for professionals, we take science and sprinkle it with creativity and fun so our graduates are empowered to think on their feet and feel empowered to problem solve outside the box.

Pilates Studios At our Toronto pilates studios we help you learn to build optimal

strength and movement in your entire body so you are literally at your best everyday. In any pilates class or one-on-one session, we aim to preserve and build the best functional patterns of movement your body is capable of. Why? Because it feels and looks best and has staying power.

Our classes and one-on-one sessions are for you if: • You want to feel strong, tall, and tension-free during and after a class

• You want an integrated exercise program based on science and sound principles

• You understand that change worth making takes some time and a systematic approach

• You like an intimate setting where people know you and you know them.

Health Clinic Our midtown Toronto health clinic services include osteopathy, naturopathy, holistic nutrition, and massage therapy. This way you have options to help with specific health issues and concerns. We want your whole self to be well and each of our practitioners is there to get you to your best.

Our health clinic is for you if: • You want to complement your exercise regimen with manual therapy or overall health and wellbeing

• You want a selection of experienced practitioners including massage therapists, physiotherapists, shiatsu massage thera- pists, naturopathic medicine, holistic nutrition, and muscle activation techniques

• You want practitioners that can work with each other and your pilates instructors…all in one location!

Teacher Training Our international teacher training program is the educational cornerstone of our company, and the choice of pilates and movement professionals committed to building bodies for optimal function and integration.

Our training programs are for you if: • You want to learn the pilates repertoire and really understand how to use it to build functional, strong, integrated bodies (and people for that matter)

• You want to learn functional anatomy (this means going beyond the anatomical structures and delving into how all our parts work together)

• You want lots of hands-on learning as well as simple and clear explanations about how movement works

• You want the opportunity for continuing education in a variety of topics and the flexibility to attend whether you are pilates certified or not

Our certification designations include Pilates Mat Work Teacher,

Pilates Equipment Teacher (Reformer, Cadillac and Chair, and Springboard), Functional Anatomy and Biomechanics Specialist, Post Rehabilitation Exercise Specialist, and Diverse Populations Exercise Specialist. We also offer an extensive continuing education curriculum on

a wide variety of topics from osteo and post rehab to pregnancy and sports specific exercise protocols. For more information visit www. bodyharmonics.com and www.bodyharmonicsshoptalk.com (brand new portal for professionals).
