Applying for a Grant or Scholarship

Nonprofit organizations are always welcome to apply for grants from any of the Community Foundation funds for which they may be eligible. Grant application deadlines vary. Start at the home page of the Community Foundation’s website, www.cfsw.org. Under the Grants tab find your county. Each county page has a list of funds that use a competitive grant selection process. The Open Grant Applications page, also in this section, will tell you what’s in season and link you to qualification information and the application form.

Above is a new Elkhorn “bookworm.” The student received eight books and a backpack through the Wisconsin Bookworms program, supported by a grant from The Elkhorn Fund. The program served 173 Walworth County students and 53 Elkhorn public school students.

For information about scholarships that you may be eligible for, click on the Scholarships tab and choose from the drop-down menu. You will be taken to a menu of scholarship opportunities with instructions on how to apply.
