The Ironwood Men’s Monday group showed off their patriotic colors on Labor Day.

celebrated Labor Day at the Ironwood Golf Course all decked out in their patriotic shirts. The fl ag shirts made a impressive sight in front of the American Flags waving


over hole no. one at the course. The fl ags are placed there by the Lions Club. The group numbers from 12 to 20 on any given Monday. They enjoy dressing for special holidays or occasions. The group is lead by Barry Ediss. 


Sun Lakes resident participates in Senior Table Tennis competition


The Senior Table Tennis Competitions were held on June 25,


in Pasadena,


California. Sun Lakes resident June Wagner participated in the 70+ women’s division (round robin event) along with four other contestants of formidable skills and expertise. After three out of five grueling games for each contestant, the awards were as follows: Gold


medal – Harriet Quong,


Anaheim Table Tennis Club Silver medal – Heather Agnelotti, 1977 Captain World Table Tennis Team,


Birmingham, England Bronze medal – Ophelia Hernandez,


Anaheim Tale Tennis Club Fourth place – June Wagner, Sun

and losers shared camaraderie and heard interesting comments and tips by former World Team Captain Heather Angnelotti. The day’s nerve wracking tournament ended on a joyous note for all. 

Bocce Ball open house planned


Irene D’Aloisio The Sisk Park Bocce Ball League will


begin the fi rst session on November 3. The fi rst registration will take place at the Activities Open House held at Cottonwood on Saturday, October 12, from 9:00 a.m.- noon. The second registration will be at the Oakwood Open House on Saturday, October 19, from 9:00 a.m.-noon. There will be a Wine and Cheese


Party on Sunday, October 27, from 1:00- 3:00 p.m. This is the last opportunity for in-person registration. Members will be available here for demonstrations and the club will provide the wine and cheese. Rules and regulations will also be available.


Registration may also be done by mailing a check to Beth Derheim, 24649 S. Augusta Ct., Sun Lakes, 85248. For questions about registration, please call Beth at 480-883- 3448. Checks must be in no later


than


October 27, for the fi rst session. The fee is $10 per person and the league


is open to all Sun Lakes residents. However, residents who do not live directly in Cottonwood or Palo Verde must purchase a facilities-use sticker at the Resource Center in Cottonwood. Please note that these fees are non-refundable. Remember, the last day of registration


for the fi rst session is October 27, whether it is in person or by mail. 
