GENERALS

17

I had only known our latest “smile of the month” patient for a short time but was so touched by her outgoing personality and huge heart. She was a true ‘giver’ that always has other peoples interests at the center of her attention to the point that she had put off some much needed dental treatment of her own while taking care of others. Her chief complaints included: a lateral incisor that had previously required a root canal and crown that had been done and redone several times and was now failing again due to a fracture, several crowns done by multiple dentists over the years that had differing colors, a missing tooth on the upper and worn lower teeth due to opposing crowns on the upper teeth as well as inflamed gum tissue due to an allergy to the types of materials chosen to restore her teeth. In a nutshell she states that she ‘doesn’t like her short, worn out, little teeth.’

After agreeing on a course of action we removed the failing tooth, placed two implants and replaced her multi-colored crowns as well as built up the other short teeth with a combination of orthodontics, crowns and veneers while utilizing materials that she is not allergic to.

She truly has the Hollywood smile that she desired. (after)
