Local Netteswell Councillors’ Report Netteswell comes into its own in summer time. A trip round the Town Park will reveal a hive of

activity from the paddling pools, the adventure playground and Pets Corner with families just enjoying a day out with their children. We are fortunate to have such a wonderful facility - like a large back garden. Great Pardon CA and Heart4Harlow are doing a splendid job in providing live entertainment at weekends. Harlow Council is trying its best to improve the appearance of Netteswell. This Autumn it has been

confirmed that Fishers Hatch will receive a refurbishment, as well as planting of trees and bulbs in some estates, including the Hides. The Council is committed to improving houses in all estates both internally and externally. Many will have already received new bathrooms and kitchens. Some estates are being transformed with cladding, with Long Ley as an example of work in progress. All the housing changes are self-financing from the housing account and do not cost the taxpayers

of Harlow a thing. However they do enhance the value of the estates and improve house prices. Finding a place to live is important to our younger generation and Harlow Council is in the process of starting to build Council houses for those on the waiting list. Finally, local councillors always like to hear from you and will do their best to make the community

work well. If you want to see us we are always at the Stow library on the first Saturday of the month from 10am to 11am – so please feel free to pop in and see us.
