Local Events in September Foxton 5k Fun Run 10.00am Sunday 8th September


There is a limit of 225 entrants for the Foxton Fun Run so get your entry form now. Forms are available from Foxton village shop, online at http://ja6415.wix.com/foxton-5K-fun-run-, by emailing Jane@MKAecology.co.uk or by telephoning 07740 622576.


This will be an exciting event to raise money to build a ‘Skateboard Park’ to be used by the youngsters of the village. Both the junior and senior runs will start at Foxton Pavilion, CB22 6RN. The shorter mini run for those under 6 will be round the recreation ground.


Entry is £6 per person, £15 for a family of three and £20 for a family of four. Children under fourteen must be accompanied by an adult. The mini run is only £2. Get your family and friends to sponsor you.


We look forward to seeing you on the rec at 9.30am to be ready for a 10.00am start on Sunday 8th September,.

Bridge the Gap - Sunday 15th September


The annual Bridge the Gap charity walk through the Colleges and University grounds takes place on Sunday of the Open Cambridge weekend. Each year around 2,700 people participate in this scenic, five -mile charity walk through the City’s historic College and University grounds. There will be guides from the Society of Cambridge Tourist Guides on hand to talk about the history of the Colleges and grounds, the Waterbeach Brass playing new and old favourites at Emmanuel College and a lively atmosphere and tea tent to welcome participants back to Jesus Green.


Registration is now open for the Bridge the Gap walk, with start time options of: 9.30am, 10am and 10.30am.
