UNTIL 3 OCTOBER FLY BY WIRE ENGINEERING CHALLENGE Haul the tots out of the house and away from the TV screen, and instead put their engineering skills to the test as they investigate different ways of powering a flying craft in a series of activities designed by Rolls-Royce experts. 18 AUGUST TEDDY BEARS’ PICNIC,TRAIL AND CRAFTS Settle on the grass for a picnic and a spot of storytelling. There will also be a hide and seek trail and a chance to make a colourful crown for you and your bear. Blaise Castle Estate (mandysmake.com)


19 - 31 AUGUST INVISIBLE CIRCUS SUMMER SCHOOL The Bristol circus company will be running a summer circus course at The Station. Open to 8-18 year olds from Bristol and the surrounding area, professional mentors from the circus will teach up to 20 students circus skills and the ins and outs of devising a successful production, culminating in a spectacular public show. 6 AUGUST AFTER HOURS: MARCH OF THE MAKERS This event is dedicated to the art of making, and you can do everything from building
