kay, so the British weather may not always put a smile on our faces, but we think this summer issue of FYM will.

One thing we discovered while putting Issue 3

together is that great service not only cheers people up, it also makes them loyal. Hana Potter of Muggle Tours (p12) has made customer service her No.1 priority and has achieved top ratings from both Time Out and TripAdvisor as a result. Richard Branson certainly didn’t get where he is today without knowing the value of customer service (p16) and Ashley Humphries built his barbershop success by putting his customers first (p18). Equally crucial to your business are SALES.

Rob Forkan of Gandys flip-flops shares some hilarious and innovative ways to sell on p27. Also, don’t miss the moving and motivating story of how Gandys is making a difference on p42! Check out some great ideas for seasonal start-

ups and prepare to be inspired to make your hobby or obsession into a moneymaker. In technology we look at how travel blogging can take you around the world, while earning too. And we meet Charlie Osmond who is on a mission to make the web more beautiful with his lean start-up. Speaking of lean start-ups, don’t miss Issue 4 where we plan to hone in on a business movement that is gathering momentum. That’s it for now. Grab FYM, get to the beach or

park and start planning your summer start-up! Have a great summer!

Editor-in-Chief: Pamela Whitby Anywhere truly remote and rural, preferably in Africa and involving horseriding or a train journey. I’d also like to return to the glorious vastness of Lake Baikal via Trans-Siberian railway with my family. Creative Direction: Rob Castles/Red Onion Design I’d like to go on a first class sleeper train across some glamorous corner of the planet - with a huge window I can look out of while sipping champagne. Failing that, I haven’t made it to Scotland yet. Managing Director: Reesa Amadeo Wolf A canoeing and camping trip back home in Canada - PROPER camping - the kind where you can paddle out to where there’s no one else, catch fish in the lake, cook it on an open fire and see millions of stars.
