Clare is new face at BBC

Portrait of life as an artist

LUCIEN Freud’s model and studio assistant for 20 years has chosen Bridgeman Art Library to represent his photography for licensing. David Dawson had unique access to the artist’s daily life, photographing him during his fi nal years before his 2011 death, to give

an intimate view into the painter’s private persona.

In addition to the painting

process as shown in this 2005 shot entitled Working At Night, Dawson captured personal moments in his boss’s life, from applying shaving cream to cuddling supermodel Kate

Moss in bed.

Bridgeman also holds exceptional quality high resolution digital photography of the artist’s work from the Lucian Freud Archive. T: 020 7727 4065 www.bridgemanart.com
