After cycling all those miles there’s nothing like a hot bath, a soft bed and a sumptous meal in elegant surroundings. You’ll find all of those in the beautiful period hotel at The Oakhouse Hotel on Axbridge Square. With its spacious dining rooms, bar overlooking the square and tables and chairs outside in the square it is the perfect place to watch the world go by. Visit www.theoakhousehotel.co.uk.

The Strawberry Line Café on Yatton Station Platform is a very special place. Not only does it sell delicious meals and cakes made on the premises and fair trade organic coffee, half of the employees have a learning disability, including a full time apprentice. The café is a social firm, meaning any profits are used to create more opportunities for people with learning disabilities. The building itself was restored with help from the Railway Heritage Trust and the South West Regional Development Agency, and is an original Brunel waiting room retaining some original features. Donated photos and memorabilia from the Strawberry Lines’ heyday are displayed on the walls. Visit the website www.strawberrylinecafe.co.uk
