8 days beginning and ending in Kampala: Lose yourself in this 8-day Ugandan lodge experience, which will both refresh and excite you. From standing on the equator to enjoying the late African sunset as water laps against your canoe on Lake Mburo; this experience is sure to stay with you. Track the last of the mountain gorillas through the Bwindi Forest National Park and experience first-hand how this dense vegetation has provided a safe haven for these shy and gentle creatures. From Queen Elizabeth National Park, for a chance to encounter the Ishasha tree climbing lions, to a walk with the chimps in Kibale Forest National Park - indulge in the exceptional diversity of Uganda’s beauty and wildlife.

Day 1: Arrival/Kampala to Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda Arrive on the early morning flight, freshen up and have a meal then drive southwestwards, with a stop at the equator, to Lake Mburo National Park. This is the only park in Uganda with an entire lake, from which it derives its name. We game drive on the way to the lodge followed by a canoe on Lake Mburo in the evening. Overnight: Mantana Tented Camp or similar

Days 2 & 3: Lake Mburo to Bwindi Forest National Park, Uganda After an early morning game drive we depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The park derives its name from its thick vegetation with an immense variety of evergreen trees, festooned with lianas, epiphytes, which reach great heights in their search for sunlight plus half of the world’s population of mountain gorillas. Gorilla Tracking is what we’ll do the following day. Imagine venturing closer than 5 metres to these primates. It won’t be easy, but it certainly will be worth it. Overnight: Silverback Lodge or similar

Days 4 & 5: Bwindi To Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda After breakfast we depart to we Queen Elizabeth National Park. We drive through the Ishasha region of the park famous for its tree climbing lions before we proceed to the lodge for check in and have

some time to relax before dinner. The following day we depart for a morning game drive. The afternoon game drive is followed by a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. Overnight: Kingfisher Lodge (Kichwamba) or similar

Days 6 & 7: Queen Elizabeth to Kibale Forest National Park, Uganda

Optional early morning bird walk. After breakfast depart for Ndali Lodge and Kibale forest. We have the afternoon at leisure or take a walk around the Crater Lake, with an option to swim, fish etc. Early the next day, we embark on a morning walk in Kibale Forest to track the habituated chimps which are the major attraction. A walk through the Bigodi Swamps in the afternoon will bring as back to our lodge. Overnight: Primate Lodge (Tree Cottages) or similar

Day 8: Kibale Forest to Kampala, Uganda After a leisurely breakfast, return to Kampala and take your evening flight.
