GCSE Maths: FREE if you haven’t already achieved a grade C or above!
GCSE Maths: Level 2 (MAT44904) This part-time FREE course gives you a key qualifi cation for life, work and further study. If you are not ready for this one- year course, you can apply for the pre-GCSE maths course or a Functional Skills maths course to develop your skills. Entry requirements: There is a written assessment at College. As a rough guide, you need to be working at level 2 maths. Possible next steps: Higher level vocational or maths courses at the College. Length of course (weeks): 30 Hours per week: 3
General Maths: Entry Levels, Level 1
and 2 (MAT61975) On this FREE course, you will improve your skills in maths, covering subjects such as measurement, calculation of numbers, money and time and interpretation of data. You will increase your confi dence and be prepared to meet the requirements of other College courses with regards to maths. There are different venues for this course; both at College and in the community. Entry requirements: College interview and assessment, plus a commitment to learn and a previous record of good attendance if applicable. Possible next steps: Further study or employment. Length of course (weeks): 18 or 35 (depending on the level).

AS Level Maths (MAT62356) We offer this course especially for adults, in the evening. Topics include algebra, calculus, co-ordinate geometry, trigonometry, logarithms, exponentials and sequences and series. Entry requirements: There is a written assessment at College and you need to have GCSE maths at grade A*-B. Possible next steps: Further study or employment. Length of course (weeks): 30 Hours per week: 5
