Level 1 Hospitality and Catering


Certifi cate: NVQ (LCH14266) This course is designed for people who wish to embark on a career as a professional chef in the Catering and Hospitality sector - and for people interested in front-of- house operations within the sector. You will be expected to prepare and cook a range of dishes while the investigative and theoretical units provide a broad understanding of all kitchen and front of house operations. Entry requirements: English and maths at grade D or above. Possible next steps: Level 2 Diploma in Professional Cookery or NVQ Professional Cookery. Length of course (weeks): 36 Hours per week: 14


Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Professional Cookery: Preparation and Cooking


(LCH32054) This part-time course is designed for people who are working in a professional kitchen and want to achieve a formal qualifi cation. You will be assessed in our own, real, work environment, Open Kitchen Bar & Restaurant. Entry requirements: You must be employed and have a professional approach to food preparation and cooking. Possible next steps: NVQ Level 3 in Professional Cookery. Length of course (weeks): 36 Hours per week: 12.5

Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Professional Cookery: Preparation and Cooking


(LCH31953) This course is ideal if you want to become a highly skilled, professional chef. You will learn modern cookery skills helping you to gain successful employment when you complete the course. Entry requirements: Level 2 hospitality course and a College interview and assessment. Possible next steps: Foundation Degree in Hospitality Management or employment. Length of course (weeks): 36 Hours per week: 12.5
