Business Level 2 BTEC Diploma In Business
(BUS10142.3) This is a practical, work-related course which will help you to learn about key issues faced by retailers and small businesses. It prepares students for work, work placement or progression to Level 3 Diploma courses. Entry requirements: Successful completion of the Level 1 BTEC in Business or related courses, GCSEs at grades D-G and/or college assessment. Possible next steps: Level 3 BTEC 90-Credit Diploma in Business or BTEC Extended Diploma in Business. Length of course (weeks): 36 Hours per week: 14 minimum
Level 3 BTEC 90-Credit Diploma in
Business (BUS30169.3) This is a one-year intensive course specially designed to provide students with a solid grounding in business. It is a stepping stone to progress to the Higher National Certifi cate in business. You will use case studies and scenarios to solve business problems, and complete unit assignments. The units you will study include business environment, business accounting, recruitment and selection, impact of communications technology on business, and market research. The qualifi cation is equivalent to 1.5 A Levels. Entry requirements: Successful completion of the Level 2 BTEC in Business or related areas, GCSEs at grades A-C and/or college assessment. Possible next steps: Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Business (Top-up), Level 4 BTEC Higher National Certifi cate (HNC) in Business, university or employment. Length of course (weeks): 36 Hours per week: 16 minimum
Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in
Business (BUS30169.3) This two-year course will prepare you with essential skills for work and higher level study. There is a great range of subjects to benefi t from. The units you will study include aspects of contract and business law, starting a new business, accounting, human resources, managing and developing teams, website design and market research. You will receive support from dedicated and experienced tutors to complete unit assignments which are scenario-based. The qualifi cation is equivalent to 3 A Levels. Entry requirements: Successful completion of the Level 2 BTEC in Business or related courses, GCSEs at grades A-C and/or college assessment. Possible next steps: University, Level 4 BTEC Higher National Certifi cate (HNC) or employment. Length of course (weeks): 36 Hours per week: 16 minimum
Level 4 BTEC Higher National Certifi cate/Diploma (HNC/D) in
Business(BUS62274.3) Students following this exciting course will gain intellectual skills similar to those studying at university. The advantage is the fl exibility of choosing between the full-time and part-time route and paying a competitive tuition fee. You will study fi nance, marketing and advertising, aspects of contract and negligence for business, knowledge and information, organisations and behaviour, and business strategy. You will also carry out a research project to focus on a small business enterprise or the wider European business environment. Entry requirements: Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Business or related courses, 1 or 2 A Levels or equivalent including college assessment. Possible next steps: University or employment Length of course (weeks): 36 for HNC or 72 for HNC & HND combined Hours per week: 13 minimum
