Meldreth Bowls Club

Our first game was on 24th April and we managed a win! Our following games results were a mixture but it is early in the season. All the leagues we play in have started and friendlies and county games are nearly upon us. Two new members joined after coming to our Open Day. If you are interesting in trying your hand at this very sociable and friendly sport then please come along to our Tuesday morning “roll-ups” from 10.00am until noon which also include a coffee morning. There will always be someone on hand to help and we have bowls of all sizes for you to try. The only request we make is that you wear flat shoes. Do come and meet us all. If you cannot make Tuesday mornings then please telephone one of the numbers given below for other days and times.

Tickets at £20 each for our traditional hog roast over a wood fire, on the 13th July are now on sale and can be purchased from Ann Carter on (01763) 260603 or Roger Mead on (01763) 220095. The day also includes fun bowls, jazz band, raffle etc.

If you would like any more information about our club then please contact either our Chairperson, Mavis Chapman on (01763) 260098 or our Secretary, Shirley Lambert on (01223) 207888 or email lambert.sd@btinternet.com.
