Wu Yongping states, ”There is no end to creative direction; I will insist on creating new works every year, no matter which form and material it is made from, and more importantly maintain the highest state of creation. Art has no borders, regardless of race, religion, or color, but only aesthetics; its fundamental purpose is creation. Art brings me unlimited creativity, and I believe, unlimited creativity brings people happiness.”
Wu is a busy man. As well as working as an Associate Professor in the Sculpture Depart ment at the Central Academy of Fine Art, he is also a mentor at the 12th Studio of Design School, the head of the Contemporary Glass Arts Centre, a Member of China Artists Asso ciation and a member of the China Sculptors Association. In addition he is the Art Director of Shanghai Hongfang Art and Design Centre and the Art Director of The World Natural Heritage Application Council of China Chengjiang fossil region.
