Wu Yongping has been engaged in sculpture creation for many years. He says that he is most interested in researching different ma terials. Behind every material there is always interesting and complicated production tech nology. This means acquiring new skills when analyzing and using a new material. For him, technology is worth examining and discussing, leading to innovation. Wu Yongping states that innovating with current technology provides a broader space for creators, basically a larger palate. The search for new material, form and sion, but also the students he continues to work with. Wu says, “I will pursue my passion of materials, analysis, and aesthetics in the future and pass on these experiences to my students. Only by acquiring new technology and property of materials can my creative work continue, and I will continue to be passionate about it.”
