PROCESS CONTROL

New Tanks &Mixers to Control Viscosity

Heated Tanks Division of Solutex Ltd have

introduced anew series of heating and mixing tanks designed to reduce

the viscosity of liquids and to improve application

in many industrial coating and process machines

The range includes mobile and static tanks with capacities from 5litres to 2000 litres that are ideal for paints, adhesives, resins, solvents, waxes and foodstuffs and much more.

The heated tanks of the series Vari-Fix allow the correct heating and mixing of different types of products, with the possibility to program the process of heating and mixing separately with aloading capacity of 30 up to 2000 litres and a working temperature from 90°C up to 195°C.

The Vari-Shell series electric can heaters maintain paints or adhesives at the proper tempe- rature before their use, allowing users to avoid any paint related problems as well. Any unpleasant effect like humidity, sagging, and black specking due to cold temperatures will be avoided. They are suitable for warming paints, glues, lacquers, catalysts, primers and insulators. The models of the series Vari Shell are equipped with an inner stirrer which keeps the product moving while heating, improving the heat exchange and avoiding

incrustations and sedimentation.

The product is maintained at atemperature of 30° -40°C and constantly stirred. Asuction

pipe allows the product to be withdrawn by a dosing machine. Apipe conveys the excess product back into the can. Astirrer, fixed from the top, continuously mixes the product to be heated. Once the heating phase is finished, the stirrer can be lifted out of the heating chamber easily.

The controlled heating temperature keeps the product warm and stirred for the whole duration of the process, without any thermal degradation.

Heated Tanks is anew division

of Solutex Ltd, acompany with many years experience in liquid recycling systems for ATEX zones, with companies all over the world benefitting from their machines. Many

of these heating and mixing processes need

to be performed in ATEX zones and their vast experience in this field has lead them to start their Heated Tanks Division. Their aim is to provide the very best process heating and mixing systems available, built to exacting standards and meeting all relevant European legislation for safety.

One of their strengths is the ability to supply machines for special applications that require particular heating or mixing parameters. This means they can supply equipment which is often difficult to source elsewhere, whether it is equipment constructed in special materials or peculiar parameters.
