Norman Hay plc acquires Sifco Applied Surface Concepts (Sifco-ASC)


Global chemicals, sealant and surface coatings specialist Norman Hay plc


has acquired one of the world’s leading supplier’s of selective electroplating and anodising services, Sifco-ASC, as part of its international expansion plans


With more than 50 years experience in the industry,Sifco-ASC is one fo the world leader’s in selective plating and atrusted supplier to many of the world’s leading aerospace, oil and gas, and power generation businesses.


Operating in the USA and Europe, Sifco-ASC is acomplementary fit to the Norman Hay Group, based in Coventry,UK, which specialises in chemicals, sealant, surface coatings and bespoke process plant and equipment, supplying customers in abroad range of industries across five continents.


Vic Bellanti, Chief Executive of Norman Hay plc, said: “This is an excellent acquisition for us and fits into our strategic plan to expand the Norman Hay Group internationally into areas that have a clear synergy with our existing businesses.

Sifco-ASC employs around 80 people in eight locations in the USA, UK,Sweden and France, and also has anumber of licensed job shops, agents and distributors worldwide.


It is one of the world’s most respected manufacturer’s and supplier’s of process equipment and associated chemicals for selective electroplating and anodising and has its own subcontract process operations across the USA and Europe.


The acquisition, from Sifco Industries of Cleveland, Ohio, includes Sifco ASC LLC (USA), Sifco ASC UK,Sifco ASC France and Sifco ASC Sweden.
