Four-legged Billboards

DeAnna’s company, K9 Carry All in Washington, has come up with a winner —message-bearing dog leashes.

“These are a great way to advertise,” says DeAnna excitedly. Companies and groups have their logo and/or name imprinted on K9 Carry All leashes; then everywhere the dog goes, their brand goes, too.

“Our leashes are a terrific way for companies to fund raise and promote themselves at the same time,” ex- plains DeAnna. “We take pride in what we create and enjoy working with our private buyers as much as with our corporate clients.”

“We work hard to help customers however we can—fundraising, promoting, retail lines.” DeAnna says they love to do custom work as well. “Let us know what you need, and we will find it or make it for you.”

Proud Mom

DeAnna and her daughter are building the business together and that’s been both exiting and encourag- ing, says DeAnna.

Something else DeAnna is proud of is Kona, her Shih Tzu. “Kona has been a life saver for me. [DeAnna

brought Kona home to ease the loneliness that set in when her husband was de- ployed to Iraq. The two were soon in- separable.]

“Kona goes every- where with me. I wanted a pet stroller and a personal shop- ping cart in one. I couldn't find any, so I designed my own.

We have since expanded into custom leashes and collars. We also have a retail section with all kinds of fun things for you and your pets.”

UnLeashed Success

DeAnna mentions that being involved with rescue groups, foundations and nonprofits has been a big boon for business. She says K9 Carry All staff love hearing, “We love your leashes, and they have been a wonderful fundraiser for us.”

Click & Stay Leashes are among the favorites. “With a fully-adjustable handle, you can anchor your pooch to just about anything, stroller handles, park benches, even around your waist while going for a jog,” explains DeAnna.

In Kona’s Corner, K9 Carry All’s online store, the inven- tory includes everything you can think for pets: pet first aid kits and pet eyewear, pet “hair” ribbons and bows, pet toys and pet collars, pet strollers — and even some prod- ucts, sportswear, and pet-specific wrapping paper for pet people.
