manda Bennie Follow-Up Is Icing on the Cake

Clear Conscience Pet has become a leader in the emerging pet food category of humanely-sourced holistic nutritionals. Their SuperGravy™ has been a big hit and an award winner, too.

Amanda Bennie, who is the company’s co- founder, says follow-up is key to turning a great product line and industry acclaim into sales.

“We have plenty of opportunity. It's turning those opportunities into durable and lasting business. That makes all the difference. Follow up is everything!”

Theme Song

Fanatical dedication to quality and innovation without compromise is what sets Clear Conscience Pet apart, states Amanda. “If we can't do it/make it better why do it at all?” she says emphatically.

Goodwill Hunting

While honored and grateful for the awards and recognition received from industry trade publications, such as “Pet Age” magazine and “Pet Product News International,” Amanda says it’s the caring for customers and colleagues that is one of the company’s top credentials.

“We are incredibly proud and humbled that we have won six national awards for nutritional excellence in just 15 months,” she says. Yet the compliment she loves hearing most is, "You guys have the best products, and we LOVE working with you!" Amanda and her staff spread goodwill wherever Clear Conscience Pet goes. And it comes back tenfold in customer loyalty and growing distribution. As

the company’s vice president of sales and cus- tomer relations, Amanda is especially heart- ened by comments like that.

Pet Mentors The indelible experience of loving childhood pets set Amanda on her business course. Little girl Amanda couldn’t have known, when she was loving on her cat, Sebastian, and her dog, Tessa, that she was earmarking her future. Or could she?

“Growing up from the age of about 4, I had a wonderful cat named Sebastian and a beautiful

golden retriever named Tessa. They were the light in my life for six years.

“If I was playing outside my girl Tessa was always at my side. If I was curled up with a book, you could bet that Sebas- tian was on my lap. When I turned 10 my parents got sepa- rated, and we sold our big old farmhouse and moved into a condominium that did not allow animals.

“Although we found good homes for my best friends, I will never forget the pain of not being with my animals. I made a promise to myself then that when I grew up I would never not have animals be a huge part of my life,” recalls Amanda.

Sebastian and Tessa would be chasing-their-tails happy with the pet centric company “their” Amanda has built.
