Event Preview Welcome…
It’s been quite a year in the world of nutraceuticals – companies going on the acquisition trail at considerable investment; changes in the regulation for health claims, and new trends in senior nutrition, naturality, sports nutrition and digestive health coming to the fore. The single biggest change since Vitafoods Europe in May last year is of course the much hailed, and much maligned, Article 13. high, in more ways than one. Consumers need and want clear messaging on the products that hit the shelves and the manufacturers need to get it right. To do our bit to clear the cloud, we’ve dedicated a good part of this year’s Vitafoods Europe Conference to this legislation and we welcome the new chair of the NDA Panel from EFSA, Professor Ambroise Martin, to shed some light for us.
Innovation in nutraceuticals is essential to drive the industry forward, and we’re always delighted to welcome innovative products into the exhibition. Clasado and Alesco are just two new exhibitors showcasing their products Bimuno and Ultrafer respectively. But it’s not just exhibitors who are innovative; we’re doing our bit too. This year, visitors can use the Vitafoods show app.
