DENIOS experimental lectures were a ‘banging’ success at MAINTEC


DENIOS are pleased to announce that their experimental lecture program at MAINTEC was agreat success.


MAINTEC, which was held at The NEC 5-7 March, saw DENIOS UK offer


alive and explosive lecture program


over the course of the 3day show.


Attendance at


the lectures was very good and feedback was very positive.


The event highlighted the demand for the


DENIOS experimental lectures and as a result a number of enquiries have been made into on-site demonstrations.


The DSEAR experimental lectures highlight the severe risks associated with the professional handling of hazardous materials in an informative, lively and thoroughly entertaining way using graphic demonstrations to explain what can happen when hazardous substances are in-correctly handled.


Bill Meath, DENIOS lecturer says, ‘It is one thing to talk about the dangers associated with the storage of hazardous substances – it is a completely different story to be able to demonstrate the hazards in both asafe and practical manner.Very few are really aware that even the smallest amount or slightest inadvertent handling can have devastating consequences. The DENIOS lecture aims to give our customers an insight into the dangers.’


The DENIOS – DSEAR experimental lecture is aspecialist presentation developed for those responsible for training and fostering awareness within a company and it’s employees, and the aim is simple; to raise the awareness and perception of hazardous materials, in order to detect dangers ahead of a pending accident and avoid undesired reactions by handling hazardous substances correctly.


The lecture covers the legal responsibilities of employer’s and their employees to ensure compliance with DSEAR regulations. It looks at how sources

of danger arise, the fundamentals on the origin of explosions, deflagrations and fires, the risks involved and the meaning of the danger triangle.


Due to the vast wealth of experience DENIOS has massed over the years, lectures and seminars are also offered on other associated subjects such as ‘Spill response and chemical clean up’.
