Acton manufactures arange of consumables to suit specific process requirements. Over adozen ‘own- recipe’ Compounds are blended in the factory,each developed to do aspecific job -beitdegreasing, de-scaling,polishing,brightening etc. Especially designed/selected Media are offered to achieve the desired component condition: pre-determined surface material removal, de-burring,de-flashing, remove sharp edges -and surface finish, e.g.satin, pre-anodising,polished, or mirror finish.

Basic Principles Of Vibratory Finishing Machinery

ActOn Vibratory Finishing Machines are widely used for De-burring,Descaling,De-rusting, Smoothing,Polishing and Fine Finishing of various metal and plastic components. The upper portion of the machine, the working chamber,has a Vibratory Motor fitted to it. This Motor imparts powerful vibrations to the mass of Media and Liquid Compound in the machine. Depending on the type/design of machine, the vibration causes the mass of media to move along arotary and

spiral path, or in arolling movement, inside the work chamber,thereby causing the Media to be continuously in contact with the components. It is this ‘energy’inthe Media that does the work on the components, resulting in the desired finish being imparted to them. ACompound Dosing Pump accurately meters the correct (optimum) volumes of Compound and water,minimising operational costs of consumables and water and amedia/parts Separation System is frequently incorporated, to reduce overall process cycle time.

The Motor is the Heart of the machine –itisthe Vibratory Force Generator.OfBritish manufacture, the direct drive motor, manufactured to ActOn’s specification, is mechanically robust, therefore reliable, using large diameter Heavy Duty (under-stressed), maintenance-free, roller bearings. The motor is unique, in its design of adjustable vibratory force generating eccentrics. It is fully enclosed, dust and weatherproof.Asall the energy from the motor goes into the media, no energy is lost into the base; therefore the machines do not require bolting to the floor.ActOn machines incorporate adurable moulded, hot cured polyurethane lining,for longer life.

With acoustic lid and noise-free springing,Acton machines are very quiet in operation; therefore no special noise deadening enclosure is required.

ActOn Vibrota Bowl Series Machines

Motor vibration causes the mass of media in the bowl to move along arotary and spiral path. Bowls are ideal for smaller,round, high volume parts (particularly when the machine is fitted with the parts/media Separation facility). Bowl sizes vary from 28 litres (1 cu ft.) capacity,upto 850 litres (30 cu ft.), capable of component loading weights of up to around 500kg.
