Cockfield Knight are long established shipbrokers, shipping agents, customs and documentation agents specialising in dry cargo , project cargoes and offshore vessel support, and are located on the North Sea Supply Base in Middlesbrough on the River Tees.


CUSTOMER FOCUSED SERVICE The company offers a very hands-on customer focused service where no task is too difficult to ensure the efficient turnaround of vessels. They are a subsidiary of major terminal operator and freight logistics company AV Dawson, and as such work very closely with the AV Dawson North Sea Supply base site staff, providing the added benefit for their customers of a large supplier base.


STRATEGIC ALLIANCES However Cockfield Knight work independently as agents and cover all ports in the North East UK and have established strategic alliances with other agents to offer global port representation.


PROJECT SUCCESS


Cockfield Knight have organised complicated project cargo and ship movements and have gained experience in operation of major scour protection


TEES VALLEY COATINGS


Tees Valley Coatings is based in the North East of England on the AV Dawson site in Middlesbrough, which is perfectly situated on the banks of the River Tees. The company is responsible for supplying specialist and protective coatings to the off- shore, petrochemical, nuclear and marine industries.


ACCREDITATION In December 2012 tees Valley Coatings achieved the ISo9001-2008 quality standard and has completed ICATS training for all personal working within its coatings operations. this certification has made a significant difference to both their clients and themselves, and demonstrates the service and quality which they provide. Services range from blast cleaning, painting, refurbishment, thermal spraying and fire protection coatings.


INCREASED DEMAND over the last twelve months tees Valley Coatings has seen a rise in demand in the Oil and Gas Industries for additional


projects including the completion of a major contract in the port of tyne on the Brae gas pipeline.

accommodation on off shore platforms, which, as a result, has increased dramatically the amount of work tVC has secured and completed.


CLIENTS


Recent clients include Nexen, talisman, Conoco phillips and Stena, which has resulted in over 34 modules being completed over a 12 month period.


INVESTMENT


They have therefore been in a position to invest in their equipment and facilities, with their newest facility having a floor space of over 700 metres squared and two 10 tonne cranes. This, along with our quayside location, has enhanced what the company can offer to existing and prospective clients, enhancing a number of current and future projects.
