their account taken over by hackers and used to send emails to everyone with internet links in them. This does not mean you have a virus, it just means the password you were using for the account was not good enough. So, we have already had BT internet, AOL and Hotmail accounts affected in this way, and now Yahoo. Before it starts happening to YOUR email account, make sure you have a good password for it and change it now if you do not! Please DON’T click on the links contained within these messages, you may get more than you bargained for.

Got a Yahoo or BTinternet email account - watch out, we have had a spate of individuals who have had

If you do not have Microsoft Office at the moment and are thinking about getting it soon, then make sure you get it from us while our stocks last. The new version of Office in the shops is much more expensive and works in an entirely different way. They have split the programs up, made them more expensive and for multiple user licences have made them £89 every year! Our version is a one user licence, but you get all 3 of the most used programs for the price of 1. The other disappointing feature about the new software is that it only works on Windows 7 and above!!!!! So, if you have XP or Vista - you will not be able to get it at all - unless of course you come to us.

Tab2 which at £269 compares fantastically against the very fashionable iPad which starts at around £300. Whilst the Android software may all look a little different to an iPad, it does have one feature that I have been waiting for and that is that you can upload data to it using a micro SD card. So, if you want to transfer photos, or documents or videos, it can all be done now, where before you had to think of a way of doing it or use some 3rd party software to do so.

Looking for a tablet computer to have while you are out and about? My recommendation would be the Samsung Galaxy

A regular clean of any computer is always something good to do and is something we offer our customers on an annual basis. These are some of the things you might consider doing yourself if you prefer to. Run CCleaner from filehippo.com (but be careful about which boxes to tick), uninstall any unnecessary programs, especially toolbars. Prune the startup menu using ccleaner or msconfig and run diskcleanup. Remove all except essential tasks from the Task Scheduler and remove Bonjour if it is installed. Stop Windows Defender and all Google Update services in the services snap-in. I always make sure in the power settings that the hard disk does not shut down after 2 minutes and that it never hibernates, then run Disk defragmenter and that will pretty much do it - your machine should be a bit happier now.
