The summer season is hovering slowly into view, and with it comes the sound of tuneful noises, and a two week artistic extravaganza of fun, at this year’s Tavistock Music and Arts Festival.

If you love music and the arts, and want to experience one of the UK’s most prestigious festival showcases, then the historic market town of Tavistock, with its many independent retailers, is a shopping and musical delight.
The Tavistock Music and Arts Festival runs between 19th April and 6th May and will showcase a wide variety of arts, dance, film and musical acts that will perform in various venues around the town.
Spread over eighteen days and held together by the three month long Art Trail, the festival genuinely is a festival of music and arts with much to enjoy. There will be a wide variety of art exhibitions, dramatic performances, dance performances, art, literary and music workshops, poetry readings and lectures, in addition to the many varied musical events presenting a broad
spectrum of musical styles.
The line up caters for all ranges and tastes and includes jazz suppers, musicals, recitals, creative writing workshops, bands, classical performances by the Dante Quartet, thought provoking lectures and roof-raising performances from the ever popular Mad Dog Mcrea.
