Events In Boston n The annual May Fair has been a popular fixture since the 12th century. Held in the first week of May it is one of the largest outdoor fairs in the country, attracting many stallholders and traditional rides.
n The annual Boston Rowing Marathon is held on Sunday 15th September. This 31-mile head of the river race between Lincoln and Boston, along the River Witham, is one of the highlights of the national rowing calendar.
n Boston Bike Night, held on Thursday 4th July, is a free family event that attracts motorcycles from far and wide. The event is run by the Boston Motorcycle Riders Association and there are food stalls and trade stands.
Look out for events at n RSPB Frampton Marsh holds regular events for visitors of all ages wishing to learn more about the diversity of wildlife and the conservation efforts on the reserve.
n Sheepgate Equestrian hosts regular dressage as well as showjumping events throughout the year. ‘Have a Go’ Shows offer classes for anyone who is a newcomer to horseriding.
n Blackfriars Arts Centre hosts a year round programme of events for all ages.

n Boston is home to some of the largest open-air Markets in the country, held on Wednesday and Saturdays. The midweek market includes an Auction and there are also regular Thursday Craft Markets.
Whilst staying in Boston you might also like to visit: n Saturday 4th May 2013. Spalding Flower Parade is held in spring and regularly welcomes tens of thousands of visitors, with beautifully decorated tulip-covered floats and plenty of music creating a warm atmosphere.
n Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th July 2013. Heckington Show is the largest village in the country. Spend your day perusing the many stalls or take a seat at the main ring for a day of family entertainment.
A Farmers’ Market is held on the third Wednesday of each month.
n You will find many fascinating vintage steam engines, military and commercial vehicles and classic cars on show at the Boston Steam and Vintage Festival.
n Boston’s Christmas Market takes place over three days in early December. There are stalls offering food and crafts, with plenty of gift ideas and entertainment for all the family.
n Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th August 2013. Only a short drive from Boston, Woodhall Spa is host to a 1940s Festival, with flypasts, music and memorabilia which bring the heritage of the war years to vivid life.
n Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd September 2013. The Alchemy Festival is a family-friendly music and entertainment event staged in nearby Coningsby. The non-commerical festival takes place around the Autumnal Equinox and attracts bands from around the county.
