What would you like kids and parents to know about your business? “We see many pediat-

ric patients each week and work very hard to make them feel safe and comfortable. The vast majority of pediatric skin conditions, such as eczema and acne, can be treated quite easily. We also strongly believe in educating our patients on the importance of early sun protection to help prevent skin cancers and early aging.” What benefits do children gain from the services your business provides? “One of the most

rewarding parts of being a dermatologist is help- ing teenagers with acne. Even in the mildest of cases, clearing up their skin can make a huge impact on their self- esteem. Because acne can lead to scarring, it’s really important to treat it early. One of the challenges with acne and teenagers is find- ing a regimen they can stick with—that’s the key, and that’s why building a partnership with the patient and their family is essential.”

What do kids love most about your business? “When we pour out the liquid nitrogen and it disappears like magic. We also offer ear piercing, which can be fun—both for the young girls and the staff.” What sets your busi- ness apart from the rest? “I have tried to make

our practice a place where people like to come. We usually end up treating the entire family, whether it’s for rashes, skin cancer checks or cos- metics, and that’s what makes dermatology such an amazing specialty—in fact, that’s one of the reasons why I became a dermatologist.” What’s your advice for kids wanting to become entrepre- neurs? “Always believe that you can do anything if you are dedicated, persis- tent and passionate.”

We have a

happy, fun team, and we really try to focus on MAKING THE PATIENT EXPERIENCE ENJOYABLE.”
