KUDA HURAA Paradise by Seaside

The Island Spa has launched a brand-new W

alk on the white beach, feel the fine sand under your feet. Touch the blue, clear sea waters and experi-

ence the cool water flowing through fingers. Watch the blue sky and white clouds, and listen to the whispering coconut trees in the wind. These are some of the beautiful scenes from Kuda Huraa, a colorful garden “village” in the midst of crystal waters. Four Seasons Maldives at Kuda Huraa brings paradise to our world. Kuda Huraa, located on North Male Atoll

of Maldives, is just 15km from Male Airport. It takes about 25 minutes by yacht from the air- port to Kuda Huraa. The architectural design of Four Seasons Maldives at Kuda Huraa cent- ers on giving the entire resort the feeling of a Maldivian village, decorated by lattice pan- els, curved roof shapes, and carved roof fea- tures, which is inspired by Maldivian forms and draws on the tradition of generations of craftsmen. A generous use of timber and thatch complements the natural surroundings, with subtly raised floors maximizing the sea views throughout the island. There are altogether 96 traditional beach

and over-water residences, including beach pavilions/bungalows with pools, water bunga- lows with or without a pool, family beach bun- galows with a pool, one or two bedrooms water

suites, and two-bedroom royal beach villas, equipped with comfort bed and sofa, indoor desk and chairs, TV set, and DVD/CD player, etc. What’s more, all en-suite bathrooms inte- grate an indoor bath and shower area with a Maldivian open-air shower set in the exotic confines of its own walled garden. The Island Spa, the only spa in the Mal-

dives located on its own private isle, is just a minute’s sail by dhoni across Kuda Huraa’s lagoon. The Island Spa’s menu melds Sodashi’s all-natural goodness with time-honored Asian traditions to offer a range of innovative approaches for men, women and children. Menu highlights include: the Kuda Spa –

seven interactive treatments that see kids as young as six blending their own massage oils, activating “magic” lava shells and learning how to play Tibetan Singing Bowls; dedicated men’s treatments including the Renewal Men’s Ritual; The Island Spa Bath Ritual Menu – offering guests a choice of 13 aromatherapy baths pre- pared in the comfort of their room; and multi- day spa programs focusing on detoxification, rejuvenation and romantic pampering. Moreo- ver, the Island Spa includes an ornately carved sea-facing Yoga pavilion, where the Yoga begin- ners and experienced followers can experience “Sun Salutations” and “Sunset Meditations”.

spa project, open from 10:00pm to 1:00am every night. Guests are collected from their villas by a member of the Night Spa team and escorted to a tiny dhoni to commence the minute’s sail across the resort’s lagoon. Once at the Island Spa, they are invited to enjoy refreshments in the open- air torch-lit lounge, before being escorted to an open-air pavilion to enjoy spa treatments according to the four lunar rituals. The Night Spa offers a choice of four 150-minute open-air lunar rituals on the Island Spa’s private, starlit beach. The Night Spa has four spa treatments, designed in conjunction with the moon’s four main phases: REFLECT eliminates toxins, balances emotions and facili- tates renewal during the New Moon; NOUR- ISH provides strength and rejuvenation dur- ing the Waxing Moon; HARMONISE calms, restores and synchronises the body’s rhythms during the Full Moon; and RELEASE luxuri- ously cleanses and purifies the body and mind during the Waning Moon. In the relaxing and casual atmosphere, it

is also a great joy to taste the delicious food. Four Seasons Maldives at Kuda Huraa has four restaurants - Café Huraa, Reef Club, Baraa- baru, and Kandu Grill - as well as two bars and other specialty dining areas. “Healthy-eating” options are featured on all restaurant menus, and the multi-day spa programs are further complemented by the Island Spa Rejuvenation Menu provided by the Reef Club restaurant. Furthermore, in Four Seasons Maldives at

Kuda Huraa, you can have a romantic wed- ding ceremony on the beach, or join the special Four Seasons Explorer project, to experience snorkeling, waterskiing, fishing, kayak and sail- ing in virtually untouched waters, where you can feel a part of the local folk customs and explore the mystery of the Maldives. Glinting sea waters softly caress the white

sand beach, the winds blow gently through the coconut trees, and the thatched pavilions stand quietly by the water’s edge … Forget the wor- ries and vexations of the world, go back to the beauty of simple Nature, and enjoy the peace and comfort of paradise at Kuda Huraa.
