We are delighted to publicize events being organised by garden clubs or societies but if you are sending in your events please remember to tell us what editions you would like the entry to go in. You may find it easier to send us your full list of 2013 events in one go .

Hazel Hurdle Course Join tutor Don Gaskins, to learn this woodland craft. Using traditional tools you will learn to split coppice dound wood to make your hazel hurdles. 10am – 4.30pm. £48

A fun hands-on day for budding chefs! Have a go at making hot cross buns, chocolate nests, iced bunny biscuits and other delicious Easter treats to take home. You will also be awarded your very own Mini Master Baker certificate. 10am – 4pm. £30 per child, suitable for 7 – 14 year olds


RHS London Spring Fair Late Get your glad rags on for a floral evening as you step back in time to the London of the 1950s and see nurserymen clothed in 50s dress with barrows brimming with spring flowers. Delicious 50s- style food will be available and don’t miss the free swing dancing lessons and seasonal cocktails! 6pm- 9pm. RHS members free, non-members £8/£5

13th Exeter, St Luke’s College of Science and Sport


Hall at Bishop’s Tawton opens the gates to its beautiful garden to pooches of all shapes and sizes at this dog show in aid of the British Red Cross. The show features 14 classes so there is an opportunity for all your canine friends! Cream teas and doggy treats will be available for competitors. 2pm – 5pm. £4, plus additional £1 for each class

Bluebell Sundays Enjoy a stroll through Hartland’s legendary bluebells which stretch from the Walled Gardens to the sea. Allow time to walk to Barton Cottage in the grounds, home to the Dashwood family in the BBC production of Sense and Sensibility, and to visit the Abbey, shop and museum. Dogs and children welcome. 11am – 5pm
