Gardening
this shot of the Beech trees taken just as the sun was rising. If you are impatient to have spring flowers in the house, dig up some clumps of primroses from the garden, pot up and bring indoors they will soon give you lots of spring blooms, but look out for greenfly on them, spraying with soapy water can usually take care of this problem. Another thing to do is to cut a few branches of flowering shrubs when they are in tight bud, and put them in a vase of water in the house they will soon give lots of colour, and perfume. Most Prunus species are suitable and Forsythia will soon blossom, but keep in a cool place to prolong their life, and change the water frequently.

RELIABILITY IS OUR MOTTO
Flossy is a very sweet natured, female lurcher. She loves other dogs. She is a young girl and needs a home where there is a suitably matched dog as company. She will need a patient owner who can gradually build up the amount of time Flossy is left. She needs a secure garden, plenty of exercise and suitable toys to keep her occupied. She will make a lovely pet in the right home.
Max is a 2 year old Beagle x Collie. He travels well in the car and is good with dogs and children. He is fine to be left and housetrained. Max can pull a bit on the lead and is good off the lead. Max is an excitable dog who has been used to living with another dog, however is better suited as the only pet in the house as he came in due to not getting on with his male brother in the home. He is currently working on his figure to get a little more trim and plenty of walks will keep him in good shape.
If you are interested in offering a caring, permanent home to Flossy, Max or any of the animals at the shelter, please call 01752 347503 between 11am and 5pm.
