After living for months amidst winter’s world of sterile white snow and ice, we’re excited by the freedom of spring weather and renewed energy, as days grow longer. As sunshine again warms the earth, the air is filled with the fragrance of new growth. During the springtime, I look forward to visiting the sage country west and south of Spokane. This article describes a couple of trips that you might consider during the coming spring and early summer, one to Oregon’s John Day Country and the other to the southeast corner of Washington.
