SUSAN ASHLEY, M.D. Family Medicine Liberty Lake

CONNIE L. CHRISTIE, L.Ac.,Dipl. OM, Certified Rolfer®

CONNIE CHRISTIE believes holistic healthcare is achieved through a respectful and trusting partnership. At Affinity Acupuncture and Rolfing®, she offers gentle, effective patient- centered care that addresses you as a whole person rather than an isolated set of symptoms. “I view myself as a facilitator. I am tapping into the body’s

innate wisdom to heal, and working with you to create a plan for your heath,” says Christie, who has 13 years of experience as an acupuncturist and Certified Rolfer®, and will soon complete a doctorate in Chinese medicine specializing in women’s health and geriatrics. Used for centuries to treat everything from migraines, acute

and chronic pain, sleeplessness to digestion issues, chronic illness, or simply stress, acupuncture can create a state of relaxation and wellness. It is based on the concept that the body has specific channels through which energy flows. To regulate your energy flow, Christie stimulates key acupuncture points by inserting extremely thin, flexible needles into your skin. Tere is almost no discomfort. In fact, many people find the treatment extremely relaxing. In addition to traditional acupuncture, Christie also performs a modern form of acupuncture called “trigger point acupuncture” that is highly effective for pain relief as it unravels stuck structural patterns. Christie is also a nationally certified Chinese herbalist, and maintains a full herbal pharmacy from which she customizes formulas for internal medicine. “Te primary benefits of acupuncture are that the body becomes more balanced, and all aspects of the body function more effectively,” Christie states. “Te thing I love most about my profession is that it works - people feel significantly better.”
