CLASS NOTES of ’97-’03
Jordan Elliott ’97 Jordan and Chloé welcomed their
son, Étienne Nemoto Elliott, on March 24.
Allison Winningstad ’97
An update from my life—I’ve been teaching high school English in Oregon City for five years. Last summer I married another native Oregonian, Michael Dennis, and on August 12th we had a baby boy, Leif Winningstad Dennis! You can pull one of a bazillion photos off Facebook, but I have included one of us from the hospital.
Theresa Nogeire ’98
My husband and I had a baby on September 1—Eliza. We are pretty sure that she’s cute.
Amie McClung Smith ’99
My husband and I welcomed our second child, a baby girl, Cooper Addison Smith, on August 8.
Jessica Collins Christofferson ’01
My husband, Tyler, and I welcomed our son Easton James Christofferson on May 29 at 7:50 a.m. in Kirkland, Washington. He was 20 inches long and weighed 7 lbs. 9 oz.
Erin Morse Romano ’01 My husband, Chris, and I welcomed
our first bambino, Zella Michelle, on September 21. Parenthood is completely awesome!
Lauren Westlund Thompson ’03
My husband, Loren Thompson, and I had a beautiful baby girl, and no, we did not name her Lauren. Emory Chandler arrived on May 23. She is more than we could have asked for, truly a perfect baby. She is such a charmer, smiling whenever she meets new people! Motherhood has been an adjustment, but very rewarding. I am back to work at Sunnyside Veterinary Hospital now after three months of maternity leave!

Dylan Walsh ’01
After a very close loss (write-in ballot) and gracious concession speech in this year’s presidential election, I returned to New Haven, where my wife, Mary, is in her second year of a PhD in political science, and where I work remotely as an editor for a small magazine and also do freelance writing about environmental issues, which are often quite depressing. Please let me know if you ever pass through or settle in Connecticut:
woolves@gmail.com. Et cetera to the rest.
Lori DesRochers Lopez ’02 My husband, Jason, and I moved
from sunny Los Angeles to snowy Madison, Wisconsin. I finished my doctorate in communication at USC and am now an assistant professor in the Communication Arts Department at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I teach courses on race and gender in the media.
Baker Lyon ’02
Jessica Nguyen ’05 and Baker Lyon ’02 discovered the world is a very small place when both came out of Portland retirement to get their city planning degrees at Cal.
Amissa Miller ’02 So thrilled to announce that I’ve
been awarded a grant from Ignite Baltimore to create an interview theater piece that explores unemployment/ underemployment/pursuing an unpaid passion in Baltimore! Incredibly grateful and thoroughly excited!
