CLASS NOTES Bobby Lee ’88 In late 2011, Bobby
Lee was appointed by Oregon Gov. John Kitzhaber to coordinate Regional Solutions Centers in the Willamette Valley and the
Portland Metropolitan region. Prior to the appointment he served as strategic planning, corporate communications & environmental service manager for Hynix Semiconductor for six years in Eugene. His background also includes serving on the Eugene City Council, Oregon State Board of Higher Education, League of Oregon Cities Water Committee, McKenzie Watershed Council, and Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce. He was elected as ASUO student body president for the University of Oregon, where he received his undergraduate and graduate degrees in public administration. For fun you can see him running on the bike path near the Portland waterfront.

In May I graduated from Chicago Theological Seminary and was ordained into parish ministry in the United Church of Christ. My wife,
Courtney Brown ’92 I wed my longtime partner and love,
Scott Fogarty, over Labor Day weekend at Trinity Cathedral. Our daughters Ava and Allyn were my bridesmaids. OESians at the wedding were Tara Sorensen Witt ’92, Tessa Williamson White ’92, Shannon Daley ’92, Christian DeBenedetti ’92, and Max Hallin ’92. I hated to miss our 20-year class reunion, but we were honeymooning (without the kiddos!) in Cambodia and Laos.

Carla Barnwell, and I now live in Upland, California, and I am serving at Claremont United Church of Christ. I would love to hear from alumni in the area. Mark Behrens ’91 came all the way from Tokyo for my graduation and ordination weekend.
Anna Martens ’91
This summer I, together with a team, launched an innovation product lab, FreeRange PDX, funded by Leatherman Tool Group. Our goal is to develop and launch the next “big” thing. We’re a small team of designers, engineers, and strategists who not only are working on our own product ideas but also are working with outside innovators to help them develop and bring to market their ideas. Do you have an idea? Read more at
www.freerangepdx.com. It’s a dream job—I can even ride my bike to work every day!
Clair Clark Wiles ’91 I was recently honored as the Nobel
Peace Laureate Project Teacher of the Year. I am just an amalgamation of all of the incredible mentorship and love I have been fortunate enough to receive over the years.

Been working part-time as a dive master at a scuba diving department at a local sports store. If anyone has not driven the California Coast, they are missing something special. Just recently found myself face to face with a guitar shark off the Monterrey Bay coast in 20 feet of water.
Michael Kremkau ’94 I’m working as an emergency
physician at St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, Montana. My wife, Angie, and I now have two children: Monroe, age 2½, and Drake, age 9 months. I’m still an active member of Missoula County Sheriff Search and Rescue and the Special Response Team (SWAT). This spring my team placed first in the Mountain States Tactical Officers Association tactical team competition, and I am training for several obstacle and adventure races. I recently partnered with several friends to open a new Crossfit Gym in Missoula.
