EC YOUNG MASTERS
EC Young Masters is an Entrepreneur Country monthly feature which showcases the work of some of the best entrepreneurs and innovators in the UK who are under the age of 30 (which we call the EC Young Masters Community). Our panel of judges will each week be introducing our readers to three of Britain’s most talented and exciting young entrepreneurs.

1. Give us an elevator pitch for your company
StudyActiv provides fitness boot camps aimed at students. Each fitness boot camp is a training session of around 10-15 people ran by a personal trainer. We are trying to kick out unhealthy living amongst students and improve their health and fitness. It’s a business for students, run by students.
2. How did your entrepreneurial journey begin? In 2011, I applied for Young Apprentice and got through to the interview stages. I then applied for the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy and was accepted in February. I chose PJEA because I wanted to kick start my business career early rather than go to University.
3. What has been your biggest achievement so far? At PJEA we are given national challenges which we take part in with other academies. Before Christmas we had a challenge set by Grant Thornton to plan and pitch to a board how the banks could regain the trust of the younger generation. The top 6 teams in the country were then chosen to compete in the final at the Grant Thornton London HQ. I managed to make the top 6 with my team and it was a great experience.
4. Where do you see your company in 5 years?
I hope that I can take StudyActiv to other cities across the UK. I’ve always wanted to have a nationwide business that everyone recognises and it’s something that I will hope one day I’ll be able to do. I would also like to start other companies in areas such as events management as that has always been an interest of mine. The future is definitely exciting and I can’t wait to see what happens!
