WOODSIDE ANIMAL WELFARE TRUST

Woodside Animal Welfare Trust based in Elfordleigh, Plympton is currently looking after many animals seeking caring homes. If you are interested in offering a caring, permanent home to one of our rescue animals please contact the shelter on 01752 347503 (11.00am - 5.00pm). Our animals are neutered,

vaccinated, micro-chipped, flea treated and wormed. Potential adopters are home checked to ensure an appropriate match and post homing support is given.

We currently have several larger breed dogs at the shelter who need loving homes with experience of larger breed dogs. We also have several more mature dogs such as the lovely Moss who would like a comfortable home for his retirement.

Moss is a mature gentleman who is about 11 years old. He is a lovely dog, friendly and responsive. At some point in his life he was involved in a road traffic accident and this left him with some weakness in his back legs. However, Moss loves his walks and enjoys life to the full. He adores having a run in the paddock. He likes most dogs but will not tolerate dogs that are too pushy with him. He would be best as the only dog in the home and cannot be homed with cats. He would make a great companion in the right home. Would you be able to offer Moss the retirement home he needs?

Star is a striking German Shepherd who is about 2 years old. She is an energetic but responsive dog who needs an experienced home. Star has lots of potential and would benefit from continued socialisation. She has been doing well when out on walks with other dogs and has been enjoying playing in the field with her friends. She wants to play and gets excited but will respond when told to leave or be gentle. Star would be best suited to a home where any children are 16 +.

Shepherd. She was not well socialised prior to coming to the shelter and has had a

difficult time. She is a lovely girl who needs a very dedicat- ed home.

Hugo is a 14 month old Dobermann X Rottweiler. He is a very social dog when out and about with other dogs and loves to play but would be best as the only dog in the home. Hugo is a responsive dog and would need further training as he is very strong on the lead. He has a nice, friendly temperament but due to his size and being young and boisterous is best suited to a home where any children are older and used to larger breeds.

Cassie has

separation anxiety which means she can be destructive. She will need someone who is home the majority of time so that periods of time alone can be built up gradually. She is good with all aged children. Cassie gets excited around other dogs and is keen to play. Cassie loves to play in the field with her dog friends at the shelter but is finding kennel life stressful. Cassie cannot be homed with cats. She needs an experienced, patient and calm home.

The staff, volunteers and all the animals would like to

thank all those who support us!

Cassie is an 8 year old German

Teddy is a 15 month old male Husky. Since his arrival he has shown himself to be nice natured towards people. He loves his walks, has plenty of energy and is strong on the lead. He needs an experienced, dedicated home able to put time into training and socialising Teddy further. Teddy has been friendly with most dogs at the shelter but he is very playful and gets along best with evenly matched dogs. He is not suitable to live with cats.
