The 105th Okehampton Show
will take place this year on Thursday 9th August at Stoney Park Showground, just outside Okehampton. This traditional and popular event has become renowned as an excellent day out and offers entertainment and education, with a real insight into rural life and attracts exhibitors and visitors from all over the country. With over 1500 animals on site, country craft displays, entertainment and 300 trade stands, there is plenty for everyone to see and do. Ring attractions will include falconry displays, gun dog displays, terrier racing, parade of hounds, a fun family dog show, ferret racing and plenty more. This is a special programme of children’s entertainment including sports, craft and family races. The good news for 2012 is that there is no increase in ticket prices from 2011. Entry is £11 for adults, £3 children (5-16),under 5s free. Advance tickets £9 for adults. Family tickets (2 adults, 2 children) £22.
