Itihaas links up with hotels

The Birmingham-based restaurant and catering company, Itihaas, is entering into partnerships with the Q Hotel group and the Grand Connaught Rooms Hotel, providing them with high quality Indian cuisine. This expansion into external catering follows on from the opening of Itihaas Brassiere within Selfridges in Birmingham.

Founded in 2003, the Q Hotel group consists of 21 four star hotels and their requirement for an Asian caterer follows an increase in the uptake of Asian weddings across the venues. Itihaas is to provide catering to Belfry Oxford, Belfry Nottingham, Chesford Grange, Stratford Manor and Hampshire Court.

Grand Connaught Rooms is part of the PH Hotels group and dates back to 1775. As the preferred Asian caterer supplier, Itihaas will provide food for the hotel’s events, weddings and conferences.

Raj Rana, Itihaas managing director, says, “We are really excited about the partnership with the Q Hotel group and Grand Connaught Rooms. In the Midlands our name is synonymous with fine dining Indian restaurants, but this will strengthen our catering division, helping to make sure that Itihaas is a name that will soon become familiar to everyone”
