Nordan wins large supplier award
NorDan, one of the leading manufacturers of high performance Scandinavian timber windows, has picked up the award for “Large Supplier of the Year” from its client - leading developer Crest Nicholson Regeneration. NorDan was shortlisted as one of 5 nominees from amongst the buyers, commercial directors and production directors of the regeneration division of the company and chosen as winner by Managing Director Debbie Aplin. NorDan provides windows to Crest Nicholson Regeneration on a supply and fit basis. The windows are a mixture of NorDan’s famous tilt & turn inward opening timber windows with aluminium cladding in the NTech range and NorDan “Villa” outward opening. Roto centralises base
in Western Europe Roto has announced it will be closing its UK hardware warehouse and office in Rugby, Warwickshire at the end of 2012 as it begins to supply all orders from its enhanced Western Europe Logistics Centre. This move is the latest in a process of centralisation for the German manufacturer's Western Europe region, which serves the markets of Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg and the UK as well as the Scandinavian countries. A new approach
A leading construction firm has dramatically reduced their manual handling injuries by delivering bespoke training in a unique format with the help of specialist MH solutions provider, Pristine Condition. The training programme has resulted in some unbelievable injury reductions. The initial contract showed that the trial site, which previously attributed 35% of their injuries to manual handling, had seen a 100% reduction following the implementation of the Pristine Programme. Based on these results, the company introduced the programme to over 50 contracts across the UK.
