clothes was enough to make the queen both gag and gasp in horror. The Princess explained the situation. The queen (a true romantic at heart) could empathise with her daughter and told her to follow her heart. Her father and brother

tried to point out the futility of believing a frog could actually turn into a prince, but the Princess only retorted, “You don’t understand the situation, being mere males.” Finally one of her closest friends could contain herself no


longer and blurted out, “I can understand you have invested a lot of time and emotional energy into this frog. I can also see – and I shudder to say this – you have fallen in love with him. Yes, we can all hear him talking but, at the end of the day, Princess, – and I don’t mean to be demeaning or belittling –” (and she hesitated to state the obvious), “– you’ve got a frog!” Two other friends sat next to the Princess and while


eating their lunch tried to convince her of the futility of her situation. Her sister decided to go and talk with the Frog Prince. She was intrigued with the whole situation, not disappointed. Immediately she could see the flashes of prince through his eyes, and he was so fascinating to talk to. Left alone, the Princess watched as the other friends joined her sister’s conversation.
