CHAPTER 2 Trying to rescue an unwilling Prince


The Frog Prince enjoyed the Princess’s company immensely and came to realise she was the best friend he had ever had. He could also open up and talk to her about anything, and he recounted and unravelled many painful experiences that had shaped his thoughts and feelings about life. He had to admit to himself that he actually loved her – or was it a best-friend type of love? But this is where the confusion set in. Why then didn’t


he want to kiss her? She was attractive, great figure, healthy, intelligent and fantastic to talk to, and obviously in love with him – even though he was a frog! What was missing? Then it dawned on him – perhaps she needed to make some changes to become the princess he needed her to be. Perhaps he also needed some time out to think about the whole situation – how he missed spending time on his own. With these new revelations, the Frog Prince declared to a


stunned Princess he needed time alone to rethink the situation. He wasn’t in a position to make any commitments to her, as he had stated right at the beginning. He was also seriously pondering whether the friendship would turn into anything more. He would rather just put it all down to a fun time and
