WOODSIDE ANIMAL WELFARE TRUST Woodside Animal Welfare Trust has many lovely animals looking for homes. Please contact the shelter on 01752 347503 (11.00am to 5.00pm) for more details. Our animals are neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped, flea treated and wormed.

Kai came to us as a stray in poor condition. She has received treat- ment for sore skin and ears and good food to help her gain weight. She is a real delight, good with other dogs and people and gentle in nature. She is more mature at around 8 years of age but has plenty of go and a sense of adventure so will need a secure garden.

Sandy the JRT is a young, playful, fun character. He has a lovely nature and likes a cud- dle. He was attacked at some point by another dog and he can react towards bigger dogs, though we are trying to get him used to them. He has been OK around smaller dogs and care- ful socialisation will help him. A really nice, quirky chap!

Teddy is a very handsome Husky. He is typical of the breed in that he is lively and loves his walks. How- ever he does settle well in his kennel and have his calm times. He wasn’t in the best condition when he arrived with us and is having several smaller meals a day to help build him up and improve his condition. He will need an experienced home but has lots of potential.

Tia is a lovely young staffie girl. She has a lovely nature being good with people and other dogs. She could live with older children and

would make a lovely addi- tion to the right family. She does not like cats.

Star is a lovely 2 year old German Shepherd dog. She is a responsive dog who will benefit from further training. Although she hadn’t been well socialised with other dogs prior to her arrival with us she is doing well with dogs here. She gets excited around other dogs but is biddable. She would be a rewarding dog for an experienced home where any children are 16+.

Charlie is a 5 year old wire coated terrier. He is good in the car, house- trained and well behaved when left. He walks well on the lead and also loves to play a game of fetch. Char- lie not keen on other dogs and could- n’t live with cats. We are looking for an experienced adult only home for Charlie who would make a great companion.

Digby is a three year old Mastiff cross who came from outside the area. We know little of his background but he is a friendly, happy chap, who is gentle and playful. He is a very lovable dog who would thrive in a large breed experienced home. He has been good with dogs since his arrival, has travelled well in the car and is usually clean in kennels.

Fluffy is a 12 year old female terri- er mix. She is good with cats, dogs and children. She is housetrained and fine when left. She is good on both on and off lead on walks. Fluffy is friendly and happy and would love an easy going retirement home. She could possibly live in a multi pet household pending suc- cessful introductions at the shelter.

Ella is a pretty 10 year old female, domestic short haired cat. She is housetrained and good with cats, dogs and children. She likes access to the outdoors and came to the shelter as a result of her owner’s moving into non pet accommodation.

Lady is a 2 year old female, black and white cat. She is housetrained and good with cats, dogs and children. She would make a lovely family cat.

Gifford is between 1 and 2 years of age and came to us as a stray. He is a friendly Dutch rabbit who could go to a home with children as he has a nice temperament.

The staff, volunteers and all the animals would like to thank all those who support us and ex- tend a Happy New Year to all!
